Ways I Manage being a Wife, Mom, + Entrepreneur

New Post

Let’s be real—what you see on social media is only a highlight reel. Behind the curated posts and pretty pictures, managing life as a wife, mom, and entrepreneur is HARD. Keeping a clean house, cooking healthy meals, building a business, being present for your kids, spending quality time with your spouse, staying connected with friends and family, working out, and practicing self-care? I’m exhausted just listing it all!

The truth is, there’s no way to juggle everything perfectly every day—or even every week. But I’ve found a few strategies that help me manage the chaos while keeping my sanity. Here’s how I do it:

1. Create a List of Daily Goals

I’ll admit it—I’m not naturally an organized person. But as an event planner (and now a business owner), I’ve had to learn to be. What works best for me is creating a weekly schedule with daily goals. Instead of planning every hour, I set flexible tasks to accomplish each day.

For example, my day usually starts at 5:30 a.m., an hour before my boys wake up. This time helps me mentally and physically prepare for the day. Our mornings are less hectic, and we (usually!) get out the door on time.

Here’s what a typical list of my daily goals looks like:

  • Workout
  • Work in the garage (my workspace)
  • Prep for dinner
  • Tidy up the kitchen/living area
  • Plan social media content
  • Check in with family and friends

This approach allows me to stay focused without feeling boxed into a rigid schedule.

2. Carve Out “Me-Time”

One of my daily goals is always to find time for myself. As a busy wife and mom, it’s easy to forget about self-care, but I’ve learned it’s not a luxury—it’s a necessity.

For me, working out is a priority. Whether it’s a solo session or a workout with my trainer, Paul Sains at Insain Fitness, it’s my chance to clear my mind and recharge. I always feel rejuvenated afterward.

Recently, I went on a solo trip to Denver, and it was everything I needed to hit the reset button. I:

  • Went shopping by myself
  • Enjoyed hot meals without interruptions
  • Painted my nails
  • Reflected in silence
  • Woke up when I wanted
  • Ate at a restaurant bar (highly recommend!)

As much as I love my kids, having that uninterrupted time to focus on me was priceless. Click HERE for a peek at my trip!

3. Prioritize What Matters Most

The biggest lesson I’ve learned is that I can’t do everything every day—and that’s okay. By focusing on what matters most each day, I can give my best to my family, my business, and myself without feeling completely burned out.
