Behind the Vision of HERplace
May 5, 2025
The vision behind HERplace came to me two years ago at the event Unleashing YOU Live, hosted by Amanda Riffee. You may have heard me mention Amanda a few times in blogs prior to this one. Amanda is an incredible coach, mom, wife, and now best selling author, who empowers women to dream big and boldly in life and business. During one of the sessions, we were asked to journal about our biggest dream, “what have you been wanting to do but just haven’t had the nerve to do? Remember to Dream BIG!”
For me, the answer was simple: events. Events have always been my happy place; a space where I could truly showcase my love for hosting and creativity.
When the idea of an event came along, I immediately envisioned one built around supporting military spouse and veteran women-owned businesses. Women like me who’ve moved to a new place and are just finding their footing. Women who have owned a business but struggle to find connection, community, and real support. HERplace was born from the desire to build a table where every woman feels seen, celebrated, and empowered.
But I knew it had to be more than just an event. It had to mean something. It had to honor someone.

Since February 19, 2021, I’ve been searching for a way to honor my cousin Fallon. To know her was to love her. Her laugh was infectious, her heart was gold, and her energy was unmatched. When Fallon walked into a room, the atmosphere changed. There was no need for a vibe check because the vibes were already vibin’.
Fallon was a true believer in supporting local businesses. If you had a candle company, she wasn’t just buying your candles, she was telling everyone she knew to buy them too. She showed up!…for your launch parties, for your pop-ups, for your dreams. Being there for her friends and family was her superpower.
HERplace is more than just an event — it’s a celebration of community, support, and the incredible power of women standing together. This event is dedicated in loving memory of Fallon, a woman whose life embodied everything HERplace stands for. Fallon wasn’t just my cousin, she was a champion of dreams and a tireless supporter of the people she loved. She had a rare gift for making others feel seen, heard, and valued.
To further carry on Fallon’s legacy, a portion of the proceeds from HERplace will fund the Fallon Nichole – Grant — a financial gift awarded to one deserving vendor to support the growth of her business. This grant is a tangible reflection of Fallon’s belief in the dreams of others and her constant desire to see people win. Whether it’s used for equipment, marketing, education, or a bold next step, the grant is designed to give one woman the boost she needs to keep going, growing, and thriving.
HERplace is not just an event, it’s a movement. It’s Fallon’s legacy in action. It’s women helping women. And it’s just the beginning.
